I’ve tested dozens of robot vacuums and written about them for an array of publications. I’ve also developed a testing methodology that ensures I can make a fair comparison between models and brands. After testing the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo U2 Pro Robot Vacuum, I’ve decided it’s the best you can buy for under $250.
For my honest review, I strongly recommend checking out the video below. Below the video, you can find some key points from the video.
What does it come with?
It comes with a mop attachment, disposable cloths, and reusable cloths. Plus, you get an extra main brush, extra filters, extra side brushes, and an extra dustbin.
How does the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo U2 Pro perform?
On carpeting, it did outstanding picking up all of the pet hairs and coffee grounds I laid out, and only leaving the faintest trace of kitty litter and flour.
On hardwood, it picked up everything: pet hairs, coffee grounds, kitty litter, and flour.
Also, in our tests, the vacuum never got stuck.
However, it did a horrible job of cleaning corners. It didn’t come within three inches of the corners, didn’t pick up any of the flour I spread on the hardwood corner, and only collected 10 percent of the flour on carpeting.
How loud is it?
Loudness tends to go hand-in-hand with performance, and that appeared to be the case with the U2 Pro. It was 68 decibels on high as measured from 12 inches away. And, on low, the sound meter registered 62 dB.
How big is the Ecovacs Deebot U2 Pro?
By my measurements, the U2 Pro is 13 inches in diameter and about 3.25 inches high, which makes it relatively small compared to other models.
Do you recommend the robot vacuum?
For the most part, you’re always going to be better off with an upright vacuum. They are usually much more affordable and powerful. But, if you’re lazy like me and would never use it. A robot vacuum is a good way to ensure your home isn’t overrun with dust bunnies, and the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo U2 Pro is an excellent option. For $240, you will not find a robot vacuum that both performs well and comes with so many features.
