What is a professional? As a baseball fan growing up, I had a clear definition of a professional. They were the guys in the big leagues. They got paid to do what they do. That’s what made them professionals. One day, my grandpa gave me a quarter to hit some grounders. From that day forward, I could say I was a professional baseball player. And, much like major league players, I did not invest my money wisely.
Of course, I grew up. Once I was in my 30s, I realized there was more to being a professional. Professionalism is one of the core values of Brains Report. Below, we will look at what professionalism means to us and why it’s important.
Professionalism Means Demonstrating Skill
You must have a certain level of skill to be a professional. Anyone can just write a review of a product. However, it takes years of doing it on a daily basis for a variety of outlets before you get really good at it and achieve professional quality. Over the last four years or so, James has put in the work and now gets paid to write for one of the most-visited sites on the internet (no, not Brains Report). Brains Report is also a highly-ranked reviewer on Amazon. And, we are always looking for ways to improve. We strive to provide better-quality, higher-value reviews and consumer information so you can get the most out of your money.
Professionalism Means Taking Our Work Seriously
From time to time, we like to have a good laugh. We do this to keep you entertained. But, when it comes to your money, it’s no laughing matter. Unless, you draw silly mustaches on the presidents, or you make money as a comedienne. Actually, there are a lot of situations where money can be funny. But seriously, we know the fat cats upstairs are making money harder to come by these days. So, we set aside time for some serious research before we endorse products or services. We know making a poor buying decision can put families in a bind.
Professionalism Means Going the Extra Mile
Professionals do a little extra to improve the lives of their clients. We are in the habit of looking for the average consumer’s pain points and trying to find pain relievers. After all, there is only so much ibuprofen can do. You might consider us the Vicodin for your wallet. Regardless, as we are working, we are constantly looking for ways to make our articles and guides more useful. If there are ways we can be of more assistance to you as you are shopping, please let us know.
Professionalism Means Accountability and Learning from Our Mistakes
We know that if we do a poor job, then you Brainiacs will leave us. We don’t want that. You hold us accountable. Of course, professionals are human, and they do make mistakes. However, professionalism means learning from those mistakes, putting things right, and taking steps to avoid making mistakes again in the future. That’s how Brains Report rolls.
